Great screencast. I have fiddled a bit with Heroku, but it would be great to learn more. I am particularly interested in how to deal with Rails models in Heroku. Looking forward to the next few screencasts! Cheers, Dan Hodgins Vancouver, BC

Nice screencast. Does Heroku already gives support to C extensions? A lot of great apps needs them.

@gzur - my next screencast, which should be finished by the weekend, will cover some basic ruby. If you are familiar with any other programming language then the learning curve shouldn't be too steep... it is just a matter of learning to do things "the ruby way".

Great screencast - clear and concise. I think Anita Kuno sums it up pretty well. Just one question, how good should my Ruby skills be before trying this all out? (When you get to the code that is)

Nice work, Matthew. Voice - very clear, nice pacing, good speaking voice, nice choice of words, thanks for explaining your terms. Audio - good quality, good volume, audible even with background noise, also audio and video appeared to be in sync. Nice! Visual - appearance in this blog is sufficient for me, I didn't go to the Vimeo site but thanks for noting the option. Contrast was adequate and cursor movements were clear. Frame rate seems to be adequate, movements were smooth. General - thank you for outlining your goal for the screencast as well as the series. The agenda above the video window was wonderful -- nice touch. Seven minutes seems to be a good amount of time to be able to watch the video in one sitting. Possible suggestion -- how would you feel about including the runtime in the text above the window? I know it is available in a popup in the video prior to starting it, but it might be nice to have in the text as well. And perhaps I missed it, but do you have an RSS feed? I would like to subscribe to the series so I can watch when the next one is available. Thanks, Anita.

Really good screencast. Very easy to follow for us just getting started in Rails. I'm really excited to build my online portfolio in rails to implement an easy way to update my content as well as allow user interaction. Hopefully your screencasts and Heroku will help get things going. Thanks.
